Some members visited the Big Apple on Saturday, October 11 for the Grand Opening of The LEGO Group's new Flatiron District store. To celebrate, they were building a 20-ft Statue of Liberty. A big thank you to Master Model Builders Dan, Chris, and Erik.Talk about a Big Build! It's their tallest build yet. They aren't expected to finish until Monday, October 13, but it was still fun to go and help build it. We built some specially-sized bricks for her skirt.  The new store is very nice, with a lounge area where you can read books and chill on the comfy couches. Even with the rain in the am, there were still plenty of people who came out to help build bricks. Lots more who had no idea stopped by to check it out. The stores (we stopped at the Rockefeller Center Store as well) were packed! Check out a few of the pictures we took of the event:
